  1. We’re lucky, when I was out in Vegas a couple weeks ago, gas there was like $2.25. Not that I really care about gas prices, but…

Light crude futures closed at $38.18 today – the highest in 13 years.
There’s lots of oil in Alaska. Let’s go get it.

  3. You think $1.79 is bad!? Here in Los Angeles, gas is around $2.20/gallon.

  4. very clever pic mr edwards.

I thought you were the guy that actually WANTED $2.00 per gallon gas.

  6. Ah you know me far too well. Actually I am the guy who wants a $2.00 per gallon tax in addition to the regular gas price. And I want that all to go toward research into alternative fuels and energy. My tongue was planted firmly in my cheek when making that post.

  7. On an interesting note, there’s actually a Boston Globe business article that says gas is only 77 cents per gallon when adjusted for inflation, compared to $1.25 in the late 70s oil crisis….
On another note: I wanted to suggest a site you might enjoy/link to. It’s called The Raw Story, http://www.rawstory.com, and it culls and composes progressive reporting from around the world. Like the Drudge Retort, but much cleaner visually and more frequently updated. We’d be happy to swap links.

  8. We went to war to boost profits for “friends of Bush.” Halliburton’s been getting theirs for a while with the contracts to rebuild Iraq and now it’s time to throw a little green to the oil companies, which your photo demonstrates all too well…
At least with the shorter lifespan due to increased pollution and reduced medical care, we won’t be needing that money we’d be saving for retirement if it weren’t being tranferred to Bush’s friends.

I think you’ve been sniffing too many gas fumes Benjy.
